Fleet Review-Mercedes R-350.
With the addition of a new crossover to our fleet we did not know what to expect. Mercedes is known for their luxury and high quality, and thus was expected. After owning the vehicle for 2 years, we can honestly say that this specific model was a disappointment. The BlueTec diesel makes an extra loud sound whenever starting the car or accelerating, and after a while, the car would not start and the key ignition had to be repaired. Tire changes are much pricier than most other cars, and the BlueTec fuel is not cheap either.
Overall the maintenance and repairs have piled up to over $7,000. For personal use, it might be worth the cost for a eco-friendly family car… however for business use, the Mercedes R-350 is not the best for revenue. Sure the clients enjoy the ride, however there is a lot lost for the business as well.
